Paris-based startup backed by notable music and tech industry insiders

Paris, October 6th 2025. Every year, an estimated 30% of music rights go missing or are misallocated, representing approximately $15 billion in lost revenue, depriving rightsholders and creators of their royalties. Claimy, founded in Paris in 2023, is the first AI-powered rights administration platform designed to solve this problem at scale.

Already working with some of the biggest European rightsholders and artists, Claimy is now live in France and the UK. The business has more than €6 million in rights under management, covering 160,000 music copyrights, performed by globally-renowned artists including Celine Dion, George Michael, Aya Nakamura, Jul and many others. Claimy has now raised €1.5 million in pre-seed funding, backed exclusively by music and tech insiders including Jean-Baptiste Hironde (Founder & CEO of MWM), Flavien Kulawik (seasoned music-tech investor), Julien Codorniou (20VC, ex-Facebook) and others, in addition to public financing.

The latest funding will accelerate product development and allow the industry-leading rights administration platform to expand into new markets, grow its team and deliver increased value to rights holders and music creators.

Founded in September 2023 by Pierre-Alban Mulliez (CEO), along with co-founders Gustave Larrouturou and Guillaume de Lavenère, Claimy combines deep music expertise with cutting-edge AI.

Commenting on the investment, co-founder and CEO Pierre-Alban Mulliez said:
“At a time when AI is depriving creators and rightholders of their ownership, Claimy’s unique technology enables them to regain control over their rights. This fundraising will enable the business to expand into new markets, win new business and ultimately ensure vital royalty payments flow to those that own music catalogues and the creators they represent.”

Claimy has been built with the changing music industry in mind. For publishers, labels and rightsholders it offers a clear return on investment, identifying missing revenues, recovering lost income through claims with clear proof of usage, and maximizing the value of catalogues. For artists and creators, Claimy provides transparency, fairness and simplicity; using cutting-edge tech to ensure every music usage is properly tracked and compensated.

Built entirely in France and incubated both at Agoranov and the HEC Incubator at Station F, Claimy combines deeptech expertise with global ambitions. In addition the business has a strategic partnership with Telecom Paris’ Listen Lab, recognised as the best in Europe for audio signal processing and machine learning music recognition.
